The 2013 Excellence in Agriculture was given to FIDEL MARASIGAN SR. y BICO of Bulsa, San Juan, Batangas, The Philippines.
He is the son of Catalino Marasigan and of Regina Bico y Abante, the daughter of Paulina Abante and of Meliton Vico y Obar, the son of Doña Gavina Obar and of Don Segundo Vico y Sauza, the second son of Don Sylvestre Vico y Ylao and of Doña Elena Patrica Sauza y Escudero, the fourth child of Doña Maria Rosalia Eulalia Escudero y Guanzon and of Don Francisco Antontio Salvador Sauza y Berenguer de Marrquina, the third child of Don Santiago Sauza y Delos Rios and of Doña Ysabel Berenguer de Marquina y Sumulong, the only child of Doña Demetria Sumulong y Lindo and of Señor Felix Berenguer de Marquina y FitzGerald, the 55th Governor-General of the Philippines of Alicante, Spain and from The Royal.& Noble House of FitzGerald of Ireland.
He is a simple farmer who has a heart of helping his fellow farmers in his place. He is a well-respected person in his place.
