She is the eldest daughter of Leonarda Unidad y Medina and of Cresencio Mag-atas y Bautista, the son of Olimpia Bautista y Villamarin and Policarpio Mag-atas y Delos Reyes, the son of Doña Jacoba Delos Reyes y De Guzman and of Don Ygnacio Nicasio Mag-atas y Buhion, the eldest child of Don Bonifacio Anacleto Mag-atas y Macalindol and of Doña Camilla Barbara Buhion y Sauza, the fifth child of Don Salvador Eustaquio Jose Bohion y Torralba and of Doña Sagrario Alatea Luisa Sauza y Talip, the eldest child of Doña Maria Angeles Talip y Revil (1st Wife) and of Don Demetrio Ygnacio Felipe Sauza y Berenguer de Marquina, the second child of Don Santiago Sauza y Delos Rios and of Doña Ysabel Berenguer de Marquina y Sumulong, the only child of Doña Demetria Sumulong y Lindo and of Señor Felix Berenguer de Marquina y FitzGerald, the 55th Governor-General of the Philippines of Alicante, Spain and from The Royal.& Noble House of FitzGerald of Ireland.
She finished the academic requirements for Doctor of Philosophy in Filipino Linguistic and Literature at Manuel Luis Quezon University in Manila, The Philippines. She wrote more than five books about communication and research in Filipino.
She is a member of various experts groups in the Philippines such as the Linguistics Society of the Philippines and a lot more. She is also recognized by various academic groups in the Philippines for her outstanding contribution in teaching and writing. Recently, she was awarded by the Municipality of Angono with Dangal ng Bayan Award (Pride of The Town Award) in the field of Education.
You can now nominate for The Excellence in Literature. This award is given to any living descendant of the Sauza family and of the Familia Sauza-Berenguer de Marquina who gave / gives remarkable contribution / contributions in the progress of literature in his / her place or in another place.
