The 2013 Excellence in Performing Arts was given to CESAR MONTANO of Baclayon, Bohol, The Philippines.

Born as Augustus Ceazar Manhilot y Demontaño, he is the son of Emma Demontaño and of Atty. Genovevo Manhilot y Quiñal, the son of Aniceta Quiñal y Tato and of Teodoro Manhilot y Badiang, the son of Doña Maria Damiana Badiang (2nd Wife) and of Don Martin Manhihilot y Sauza y Talip, the twin son of Don Mariano Manhihilot and Doña Gertrudes Talip (surrogate mother) of Doña Sofia Amara Libertad Sauza y Talip, the second child of Doña Maria Angeles Talip y Revil (1st Wife) and of Don Demetrio Ygnacio Felipe Sauza y Berenguer de Marquina, the second child of Don Santiago Sauza y Delos Rios and of Doña Ysabel Berenguer de Marquina y Sumulong, the only child of Doña Demetria Sumulong y Lindo and of Señor Felix Berenguer de Marquina y FitzGerald, the 55th Governor-General of the Philippines of Alicante, Spain and from The Royal.& Noble House of FitzGerald of Ireland.

He started as a theater actor way back in 1980s. He got his acting and singing talents from his dad. His remarkable and countless contributions in the present movie industry of the Philippines are truly word class. In 2005, he took oath as the Philippine Commissioner of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for culture and the arts. He is very much active in his work as an actor, film director, producer, restaurateur and most of all as a loving husband to his wife Philippine actress Sunshine Cruz y Braden and as a doting father and grandfather to his children and grandson.

You can now nominate for The Excellence in Performing Arts. This is given to any living descendant of the Sauza family and of the Familia Sauza-Berenguer de Marquina who gave / gives remarkable contribution / contributions in the progress of preserving and promoting his culture among the various sectors of the society through film, stage play and other means of performing arts. Through this, the patriotic identity of one's citizenship is preserved and promoted in his / her place or in another place.
