The 2013 Excellence in Sports was given to VICENTE PAUL HIZON y BOWIE also known as Vince of Stanton, California, USA. 

He is the son of Harriet M. Bowie and of Jose Hizon y Palma Gil, the son of Vicente Hizon y Panlilio and of Asuncion Palma Gil y Bangoy, the daughter of Teodoro Palma Gil and of Sofia Bangoy y Bustamante, the daughter of Doña Aparicia Bustamante y Alzate and of Don Antolin Bangoy y Porta. the son of Doña Alejandra Porta y De Caraga and of Don Gabriel Juan Bernardo Luis Ygnacio Bangoy y Sauza, the eldest son of Don Francisco Gabriel Bangoy y Badiang (2nd husband) and of Doña Restituta Maria Del Carmen Sauza y Berenguer de Marquina, the 4th child of Don Santiago Sauza y Delos Rios and of Doña Ysabel Berenguer de Marquina y Sumulong, the only child of Doña Demetria Sumulong y Lindo and of Señor Felix Berenguer de Marquina y FitzGerald, the 55th Governor-General of the Philippines of Alicante, Spain and from The Royal.& Noble House of FitzGerald of Ireland.  

His remarkable contributions in the field of sports are totally unforgettable. He inspired a great of number of youth to involved themselves into sports than vices. Being one of the most popular basketball player of his time and in his entire sports career, he won one Philippine Basketball League title, four Philippine Basketball Association titles, one Southeast Asian Games gold medal and one United States Basketball League Championship. Now a retired player of the Philippine Basketball Association, he is now involved with a lot of environment projects all over the Philippines. A loving husband to Patricia Bermudez and a doting father to their two boys.

You can now nominate for The Excellence in Sports. This award is given to any living descendant of the Sauza family and of the Familia Sauza-Berenguer de Marquina who gave / gives remarkable contribution / contributions in the progress of Sports in his / her place or in another place.
