He was the son of Doña Anatolia Embrado y Centenera and of Don Paterio Zausa y Bautista, the son of Doña Salvacion Bautista and of Don Juan Ruperto Sauza y Tuazon also known as Sergio Zausa, the eldest son of Doña Matilde Tuazon y Dela Peña and of Don Miguel Juan Santiago Sauza y Berenguer de Marquina, the 7th child of Don Santiago Sauza y Delos Rios and of Doña Ysabel Berenguer de Marquina y Sumulong, the only child of Doña Demetria Sumulong y Lindo and of Señor Felix Berenguer de Marquina y FitzGerald, the 55th Governor-General of the Philippines of Alicante, Spain and from The Royal.& Noble House of FitzGerald of Ireland.
