NEWS UPDATE: The 2014 Model Child of The Year (Ulirang Anak ng Taon) will be given each to Chrisandra Sauza y Dedal (Davao Del Norte), Jhon Paul Masiong y Peganto (La Union) and Patrick Lachica y Felipe (Aklan).

The 2013 Model Child of The Year (Ulirang Anak ng Taon) was given to MARIO ILAGAN y DRIZ of Lobo, Batangas, The Philippines.

He is the son of Laudelin Driz y Ramirez and of Mariano Ilagan y Besa, the son of Petra Besa y Artillaga and of Rafael Ylagan y Espino, the son of Ursula Espino and of Ceferino Ylagan y Delos Reyes, the 2nd son of Doña Maria Delos Reyes y Miranda (2nd Wife) of Culiat (presently San Fernando City, Pampanga, The Philippines) and of Don Andres Ylagan y Quiambao, the 7th son of Don Rafael Brigido Ylagan and of Doña Virginia Ysabel Quiambao y Sauza, The Philippines, the daughter of Don Enrique Quiambao of Tarlac, The Philippines and of Doña Restituta Maria Del Carmen Sauza y Berenguer de Marquina, the 4th child of Don Santiago Sauza y Delos Rios and of Doña Ysabel Berenguer de Marquina y Sumulong, the only child of Doña Demetria Sumulong y Lindo and of Señor Felix Berenguer de Marquina y FitzGerald, the 55th Governor-General of the Philippines of Alicante, Spain and from The Royal.& Noble House of FitzGerald of Ireland.

At a young age, he serves with honesty and integrity the rich municipality of Lobo, Batangas, The Philippines as one its councilors. His full support for the youth welfare and development is very appreciated by his constituents. No wonder, he is well loved by his constituents. He is one of the modern young public servants who works with honesty, commitment and integrity!

You can now nominate for The Model Child of The Year. This award is given to any living male or female descendant of the Sauza family and of the Familia Sauza-Berenguer de Marquina who gave / gives remarkable contribution / contributions for the social development of his / her community he / she belongs. He / she makes his / her family proud of his / her  remarkable contribution / contribution for the community he / she belongs.  A deceased male / female descendant of the Sauza family and of the Familia Sauza-Berenguer de Marquina can also be nominated provide he / she died not more than (3) three consecutive years during his / her nomination.
