Rizal Province is proud to announce, that one of her daughters from Angono, Dr. Nydia Christina Sausa-Ambida y Estevanez together with her family will host the 93rd Las Famiias Unidas. Bring your family and let's have fun in the way of the friendly people from the mountains of Mapita, Aguilar, Pangasinan and from the neighboring provinces of Benguet, Mt. Info: The Bicol Region of the Republic of the Philippines has a big importance in our family history. Our grand matriarch Doña Ysabel Berenguer de Marquina y Sumulong (1790-1900) was born on 19 November in the vast fields of Albay. She was baptized in the Franciscan Church that is now the belfry of the world famous Cagsawa Ruins. Three of her children were born in her place of birth. They were Hilaria Maria Dela Vega (1810-1813), Demetrio Ygnacio Felipe (1811-1904) and Francisco Antonio Salvador  (1812-1910). Thanks to www.idealshare.com for the picture.

Info: In 1809, Don Santiago Sauza y Delos Rios (1777-1880) of Tequila,  Jalisco, Mexico became the 22nd gobernadorcillo or town mayor of Marikina and the 7th alcalde capitan of Marikina as well in 1828. From 1809 to 1870, the Hacienda Sauza-Berenguer de Marquina stretched from Marikina to Rosario, Pasig. On 25 December 1850, the 1st Las Familias Unidas started in this hacienda. This hacienda was the home of Don Santiago Sauza y Delos Rios and wife Doña Ysabel Berenguer de Marquina y Sumulong and the 11 children! Thanks to www.scycrapercity.com for the picture!
