The 2013 Excellence in Public Service was given posthumously to BONIFACIO FIEL y ORDANEZA (1928-1986) of Kiblawan, Davao Del Sur, The Philippines.
He was the son of Nicolasa Ordaneza and of Catalino Fiel y Mirafuentes, the son of Timothea Mirafuentes and of Julian Fiel y Surposa, the son of Doña Maria Cui Surposa y Regis and of Don Elias Fiel y Guidote, the son of Don Faustino Fiel y Embrado and of Doña Ysabel Guidote y Sauza, the daughter of Don Teodoro Guidote y Enrile y Alcedo and of Doña Refugio Maria Del Rosario Sauza y Berenguer de Marquina, the 10th child of Don Santiago Sauza y Delos Rios and of Doña Ysabel Berenguer de Marquina y Sumulong, the only child of Doña Demetria Sumulong y Lindo and of Señor Felix Berenguer de Marquina y FitzGerald, the 55th Governor-General of the Philippines of Alicante, Spain and from The Royal & Noble House of FitzGerald of Ireland.
He became the Vice Mayor of his town Kiblawan. During his incumbency, one of his political contributions was implementing and promoting the peaceful relations between the rebels and the government that resulted into peace & order in his place. He was always ready to help unconditionally his constituents especially the less fortunate ones.
You can now nominate for The Excellence in Public Service. This award is given posthumously to any descendant of the Sauza family and of the Familia Sauza-Berenguer de Marquina who gave remarkable contribution in the progress of public service in his / her place or in another place.
