The 2013 Excellence in Environment Protection was given to ELIZABETH MORALES-AUSTRIA y SAUZA of Naujan, Mindoro Oriental, The Philippines.
She is the daughter of Rafael Morales and of Virginia Sauza y Advincula, the daughter of Concordia Advincula y Bautista and of Alejandro Sauza y Bautista, the son of Doña Maria Bautista y Gomez and of Don Pedro Jose Salvador Sauza y Sumulong, the son of Doña Natividad Sumulong and Don Juan Ruperto Sauza y Tuazon, the eldest son of Doña Matilde Tuazon y Dela Peña and of Don Miguel Juan Santiago Sauza y Berenguer de Marquina, the seventh child of Don Santiago Sauza and of Doña Ysabel Berenguer de Marquina y Sumulong, the only child of Doña Demetria Sumulong y Lindo and of Señor Felix Berenguer de Marquina y FitzGerald, the 55th Governor-General of the Philippines of Alicante, Spain and from The Royal.& Noble House of FitzGerald of Ireland.
She is an elementary school teacher, licensed embalmer and funeral home owner back in her hometown Barcenaga, Naujan, Mindoro Oriental. She promotes always the importance of a balance ecosystem and the effects of a clean surrounding among her households, students and fellow community members. She also speaks about protecting Mother Earth in various events in her hometown. Small deeds, great results! Truly, remarkable and inspiring!
