The 2013 Excellence in Education was given to JONATHAN NERI y CEBALLOS of Loon, Bohol, The Philippines.

He is the son of Narciso Neri y Bahan and of Margarita Ceballos y Sausa, the daughter of Julio Ceballos y Relampagos and of Justina Sausa y Dospueblos, the daughter of Maria Dospueblos and of Dionisio Sausa y Rovilla, the son of Patricia Rovilla y Julian and of Gavino Sausa y Camacho, the son of Doña Justa Camacho y Barrios and of Don Julian Antonio Benedicto Sausa y Sauza, the eldest son of the first cousins Don Delfin Sauza y Magtibay and of Doña Caridad Sauza y Sumulong, the daughter of Doña Felicidad Sumulong and of Don Juan Ruperto Sauza y Tuazon, the eldest son of Doña Matilde Tuazon y Dela Peña and of Don Miguel Juan Santiago Sauza y Berenguer de Marquina, the seventh child of Don Santiago Sauza and of  Doña Ysabel Berenguer de Marquina y Sumulong, the only child of Doña Demetria Sumulong y Lindo and of Señor Felix Berenguer de Marquina y FitzGerald, the 55th Governor-General of the Philippines of Alicante, Spain and from The Royal.& Noble House of FitzGerald of Ireland.

His huge contributions to the college education of the youth of Bohol and nearby provinces epitomize, aside from being the Chairperson of the Social Science Department of Holy Name University, and define that being a teacher doesn't end alone within the four corners of the classrooms. Reaching to the social development of the students is indeed crucial to hone them as truly competitive and world class servant leaders of the world. 

He is happily married to Christianne Paña-Neri, an elementary school teacher way back to their home province Bohol.
