The 2013 Model Family of The Year (Ulirang Pamilya ng Taon) was given to MR. & MRS. MARIANO MATAFLORIDA y MEREDORES of Loon, Bohol, The Philippines
Mariano is the son of Matilde Meredores and of Paciano Mataflorida y Larona, the son of Martina Larona (1st Wife) and Valentin Mataflorida y Cuaresma, the son of Doña Maria Cornelia Cuaresma y Embrado and of Don Francisco Onofre Salvador Mataflorida y Sauza, the eldest son of Don Alberto Aniceto Celerino Mataflorida y Ortiz and of Doña Maria Consolacion Gertrudes Sauza y Ormaechea, the eight child of Doña Ygnacia Margarita Beatriz Ormaechea y Zaraspe and of Don Demetrio Ygnacio Felipe Sauza y Berenguer de Marquina, the second child of Don Santiago Sauza y Delos Rios and of Doña Ysabel Berenguer de Marquina y Sumulong, the only child of Doña Demetria Sumulong y Lindo and of Señor Felix Berenguer de Marquina y FitzGerald, the 55th Governor-General of the Philippines of Alicante, Spain and from The Royal.& Noble House of FitzGerald of Ireland.
His wife is Pastora Salavedra y Supremo. So far, they are the oldest living married couple of Loon, Bohol, The Philippines. They are well respected in their place because of the kind of discipline they brought up to their children. The discipline of love, well mannered and most of all, fear of the Lord. They are not rich materially, but the values of life are overflowing in their family. Fishing along the sea of Bohol and nearby places was the common work done by Mariano to raise his family while Pastora was at home raising their children and doing some marketing jobs while her husband was at sea. Now in their 90's, their household takes good care of Mariano and Pastora in return for the love this couple gave to them.
You can now nominate for The Model Family of The Year. This award is given to any family descendant of the Sauza family and of the Familia Sauza-Berenguer de Marquina who gave / gives remarkable contribution / contributions for the social development of the community they belonged / belong. A deceased descendant of the Sauza family and of the Familia Sauza-Berenguer de Marquina can also be nominated provide they died not more than (3) three consecutive years during their nomination.
