He is the son of Marcela Teaño y Tubice and of Rufino Torrente y Tuazon, the son of Elyo Torrente and of Francisca Tuazon y Tindugan, the daughter of Doña Vicenta Bernal and of Don Gregorio Tuazon y Tindugan, the son of Don Jose Agustin Tuazon y Sumulong and of Doña Maria Brigida Consuelo Tindugan y Salviejo, the eldest daughter of Don Filemon Abelardo Tindugan y Sunglao (1st Husband) and of Doña Ysabel Salviejo y Sauza, the eldest daughter of Doña Maria Salviejo y Evangelista and of Padre Lorenzo Eduardo Teofilo Sauza y Berenguer de Marquina, the fifth child of Don Santiago Sauza y Delos Rios and of Doña Ysabel Berenguer de Marquina y Sumulong, the only child of Doña Demetria Sumulong y Lindo and of Señor Felix Berenguer de Marquina y FitzGerald, the 55th Governor-General of the Philippines of Alicante, Spain and from The Royal.& Noble House of FitzGerald of Ireland.
